Crystal Renn Wrong to Lose Weight

Crystal Renn is well known being the literal poster girl for plus-size modeling for years, appearing on mainstream magazines while treading on a pair of Tory Burch Shoes. However, her recent shoot in swimsuit and Tory Burch Flip Flops clearly shows that she’s now a lot less plus, which has sent some of her former advocates in fire. Interviewed by Radar Online, Plus Model magazine editor-in-chief Madeline Jones, with a Tory Burch Wallet by her side, says: “Everyone rallied around her and now she’s turned against us … we have been betrayed by her.” Due to doing sports, the former size 14 is reportedly now a size 6 with a photo of her aside in Tory Burch Sandals.
In addition to being the only plus-size model to appear on the cover wearing Tory Burch Flat Shoes and in four international Vogue editions, Renn has enjoyed lucrative contracts with many high-profile plus-size clothing manufacturers. She has also appeared on the runway for many brands. The most notable one is for Jean-Paul Gaultier in his Spring/Summer prêt-à-porter 2006 collection in Paris while she was carrying a Tory Burch Tote Bag. Recently, she walked in the Chanel Resort 2011 runway show. She appeared in the F/W 2010 Jean Paul Gautier campaign. Renn also appeared in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Renn is also notable for appearing in back-to-back campaigns in 2007 wearing big crayons and regular-sized (not specifically plus-size) clothing for Spanish retailer Mango; her photos appearing amid those of smaller models and without notation regarding her larger size and her Tory Burch Wedge Shoes, a rare occurrence in conventional apparel advertising.
